The Apiary is shutting down during COVID-19

We have been in touch with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and due to the new Government regulations we have been deemed a non-essential service, to quote directly from the official Covid-19 website, “Natural health services are considered non-essential.”

We were told that we would be allowed to operate our business in isolation, but since courier drivers have been directed to only transport essential goods, according to the Government website, “you should only post or courier items that are essential to the provision of the necessities of life. During this period, our postal and courier service will be busy helping our society receive items and goods that are essential. Adding additional pressure and burden to that service may impact on societies wider ability to get through this period, and to stop the virus in its tracks.”

So since our products are deemed non-essential, and we rely on courier drivers to get our products sent out to you, they will no longer be able to do so.

We have therefore taken the difficult step of shutting up shop until this crisis has passed. We are deeply sorry to our customers who feel they rely on our services, but as soon as we can get back up and running we will do so.

We are only going to beat this virus if we unite together and abide by all government directives. We wish all our customers as safe and healthy a period of lockdown as possible. Kia kaha, arohanui. 💛🖤💛🖤
